Wow–you never appreciate something until you can’t have it. We had been having issues with our internet since August–it seems like every week we would call to say we had no service-again- only to be told how to reboot the modem, or return/exchange the modem, never a better option. We would be without for a couple hours and then it would be back….until last week; it never came back up. So we called again–and got someone who actually wanted to resolve the issue. It did mean we had no internet for over a week but we found the problem: back in August a large branch had fallen and apparently hit the wire (we were on vacation) and caused it to tighten and ‘kink’–periodically it would retighten and eventually it cut through itself causing the break in service.
I am happy to say everything is now up and running–even better. As an apology the company gave us a refund for the last month and upgraded our service to double the speed for an additional $6 a month–> happy customer!!
So I am back up and running and appreciating the internet even more!
